What is matcha and why is it so special?

How do you recognise good matcha?

Not all matcha is the same. Here are a few tips to choose the best matcha:

1. Go for Japanese matcha: matcha from Uji, Japan, is known as the very best because of its rich traditions and ideal growing conditions.
2. Look for the first harvest: only the youngest, most delicate leaves are used for ceremonial first grade matcha.
3. Colour is everything: good matcha has an intense bright green colour. Dull or yellowish tones point to a lower quality.

How do you prepare matcha?

Preparing matcha is simple and a moment of calm:

1. Measure: use our KillerBody Spato to measure 1 gram of matcha (about one level scoop).
2. Add water: heat water to 70 degrees Celsius (do not boil!) and add a small amount to the matcha.
3. Whisk: whisk with a bamboo whisk in a quick W motion until a creamy layer of foam forms.
4. Enjoy: add more water for a pure matcha or milk for a latte (note: milk breaks your fast).

Nothing is as important as delivery time. That is why we aim to deliver your order to your home the next working day.

Letterbox parcels

If you place your order on a working day before 10 p.m., the parcel is delivered the next day. If you place your order during the weekend, your order is delivered on Tuesday.

Parcel

If you place your order on a working day before 11.30 p.m., the parcel is delivered the next day. If you place your order on Saturday before 5 p.m., your order is delivered on Monday. Orders placed on Saturday after 5 p.m. and on Sunday are delivered on Tuesday.

Shipping costs

Shipping costs for orders within the Netherlands are € 6,95. Besides shipping within the Netherlands we also deliver to Belgium, Germany, France and Spain. The current shipping rates are calculated at checkout.

Returns

You can return your order within 14 days, provided the product is unopened.

After we have received and checked the product, we refund the purchase amount.
