Fried hamburger

The pleasure of a hamburger, but without the carbohydrates. Decorate with (low-carb) toppings of your choice to your own taste.

What do you need?

For a person:

  • 150 grams of minced beef

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 egg

  • A few leaves of lettuce or mixed lettuce

  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise

  • Optional: tomato slices, onion rings or other toppings of your choice

Preparation

  1. Season the minced beef with salt and pepper. Mix well. Shape the minced meat into a flat disk of approximately 150 grams.

  2. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the hamburger in the pan and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side, or until the inside reaches the desired doneness (medium, well-done, etc.).

  3. While the hamburger is cooking, crack an egg into a separate frying pan with a little oil or butter. Fry the egg until the white is set and the yolk is to your liking.

  4. Place a bed of lettuce on a plate. Place the fried hamburger on top of the lettuce. Place the fried egg on top of the hamburger. Add a tablespoon of mayonnaise on the side or drizzle it over the hamburger.
