Cod fish cakes

What do you need?

For six cookies:

  • 400 g floury potatoes, peeled
  • 400 g cod fillet
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ½ egg
  • 20 g flour
  • 2 tsp dill
  • 2 tsp parsley
  • 2 tsp garlic pepper
  • 1 spring onion, finely chopped
  • salt, pepper and herbs to taste
  • ½ tbsp olive oil
  • also needed: blender or food processor

Preparation

  1. Boil the potatoes until done, drain them and let them cool. Cut the potatoes into pieces.
  2. Pat the fish dry with kitchen paper and cut the fillet into large pieces.
  3. Place the fish and garlic in a blender or food processor and puree until smooth and thick. Spoon the puree into a bowl and stir in the potatoes and the remaining ingredients except the oil. Use your (moistened) hands to form six fish cakes from the mixture.
  4. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry the fish cakes on both sides until golden brown and done.
