Cobb salad

Serve this delicious salad immediately for the best flavor and texture. If you don't like blue cheese, you can substitute feta or goat cheese.

What do you need?

For one person:

  • 1 bag mixed lettuce (e.g. arugula, spinach, iceberg lettuce)
  • 1 hard-boiled egg, sliced
  • 2 slices of bacon, fried and crumbled
  • 50 g blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 avocado, diced
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. Place the egg in a pan of cold water, bring to a boil, and cook for 10 minutes. Then run the egg under cold water, peel, and slice.
  2. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels and crumble.
  3. Crumble the blue cheese. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, scoop out the flesh, and dice. Dice the tomato.
  4. Place the mixed greens in a large salad bowl or divide between two plates. Add the sliced hard-boiled egg, crumbled bacon, crumbled blue cheese, diced avocado, and diced tomato to the salad.
  5. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil and red wine vinegar. Season the dressing with salt and pepper. Pour the dressing over the salad.
