This dish is delicious and quick to prepare. Taking it to work? Just add the Caesar dressing just before you eat.

What do you need?

For one person:

  • 150 g steak
  • 30 g mushrooms, sliced
  • 25 g garlic butter (or 25 g butter and 1 to 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped)
  • Salt and pepper
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

Preparation

  1. If you don't have garlic butter, first make garlic butter by mixing 25 grams of butter with 1 to 2 finely chopped garlic cloves.
  2. Cut the mushrooms into slices.
  3. Remove the steak from the refrigerator about 30 minutes before cooking to allow it to come to room temperature. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add half of the garlic butter. Once the butter is melted and hot, add the steak to the pan. Cook the steak for about 3 to 4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer if you prefer a different doneness. Remove the steak from the pan, cover loosely with aluminum foil, and let rest for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the remaining garlic butter to the same pan. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for about 5 to 7 minutes, or until golden brown and tender. Stir regularly and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
