What do you need?
For one person:
- 1 large tomato
- 1 ball of mozzarella
- Fresh basil (a handful)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- Salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp pesto (homemade or from a jar)
Preparation
- Wash the tomato and cut it into slices of about half a centimeter thick.
- Drain the mozzarella ball and cut it into slices of about half a centimeter thick.
- Alternate the tomato and mozzarella slices on a large plate or platter. Tuck a fresh basil leaf between each tomato and mozzarella slice.
- Drizzle the salad with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Season with salt and pepper.
