Pizza wrap

Do you want to enjoy a pizza, but a lot healthier? With this recipe you make a delicious wrap with the rich taste of Italian pizza.

What do you need?

For two persons:
  • 2 whole wheat wraps

  • 2 tbsp tomato puree (without sugar)

  • ½ zucchini, thinly sliced

  • 1 small green pepper, thinly sliced

  • 200 g smoked chicken strips

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • 1 mozzarella light

  • salt, pepper and herbs to taste
  • Also needed: baking tray with baking paper

Preparation

  1. Preheat the grill in the oven. Place the wraps on the baking tray under the grill for 1 minute.

  2. Remove the baking tray from the oven. Spread the tops of the wraps evenly with tomato paste.

  3. Divide the zucchini slices, mozzarella and the pepper and chicken strips over the wraps. Season with salt, pepper and oregano.

  4. Place the baking tray under the hot grill and bake for a few minutes until golden brown. Check regularly whether the pizza wrap is golden brown and crispy.

  5. Place the pizza wrap on two large plates.

  6. Optional: Garnish with arugula.

Tip: Don't have a grill? Then bake the wraps in the oven for approximately 7 minutes at 180 °C.

Vegetarian variation: Omit the chicken and serve with extra mozzarella and/or shaved Parmesan cheese.
